I’m not a sophisticated poet by any means, but I’ve enjoyed writing rhymes and random verses since I was a child, and it’s still part of my journalling routine today. Poetry can be free-flowing, adventurous, and silly. So sometimes when journalling, something we often do when we’re feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, turning your thoughts into something a bit more playful can bring a bit of relief.
In this instance, I’d been writing about feeling as though the last few weeks had been a bit of a rollercoaster. I was lacking clarity, and having to deal with a few setbacks. So after my journal entry and getting all of my negative thoughts onto paper, I wrote this as a little note of encouragement to myself.
